102. The gift of being able to travel so much over the last few years. Jim and I just thank God daily for the help He gives to us to be able to travel to be with our children and help them whenever they need us. 9/15/11
103. Brigham Young University and all the fun and learning that took place for us there this year.
104. Our new church callings as Family History Specialists in the Regional Genealogy and Family History Library. I love all the things we have been learning, what a priceless gift!
105. The gift of chemotherapy for my brother, Steve, and his chances ranking in the 85 percentile for remission and a long life. This gift is wonderful along with his diligence is taking care of himself so well that they found this cancer in time.
106. My iPhone! I really didn't want to get one but once I did i have found it to be so valuable. I just love how you can do so many things with one. I found it to be a real time saver. I was surprised how much dead time there is in a day when you are just standing around waiting and could be doing some little thing that takes up your time at home like making a grocery list, checking for an expected e-mail, reading a few pages in the book you are currently on, etc.
107. Fresh tomatoes and other lush fruits and vegetables from the Farmers' Markets. Truly one of the best parts of summer.
108. Online shopping. What a time saver and tax saver, and way to buy only what you need, not being tempted by snazzy marketing tricks once they get you into a store. Yay, Amazon!
109. My renewed interest and activities surrounding family history and genealogy. Most importantly the people that help me so much, especially Stephen.
110. Cell phone quality photos when you don't want to haul around a camera. Love this and have captures so many great thing like this. The pictures have gotten better and better with every added pixel.
111. The gift of agency is so extremely important and such a wonderful tool for growth. Good choices make for a better life.
115. My trip to Utah with Barbara. Oh my what a gift! We had a ball.
116. The gift of trust, being trustworthy and trusting.
117. Autumn and knowing how beautiful New England is and that our children are there to enjoy it and share with us.
118. The absolutely gorgeous photos we have to enjoy after our trip to the New England states last fall.
119. The excitement of spending Christmas with Laura, Spencer and Ross this year.
120. Watching our grandies grow up and develop into such outstanding young people.
121. The memories of our Family Reunion in Sundance. A life highlight I'll never forget.
122. Discretionary time to be creative and productive. Oh my, LOVE this gift so very much!
123. The joys of Gospel Living~plain and simple.
124 The celebration of life for Jean Shanahan who passed away in July. One of my oldest, dearest friends on earth. Love and miss her so much but adore the gift of her friendship in my life.
125. The time to write, one of my most cherished desires come to life! (All of the above added) 9/16/11
126. My brother Steve has had a successful round of chemotherapy and his cancer is gone. Are there any words to express what a gift that is to me? Nope!
127. Another Stephen, we'll call him Jim's brother, has blessed us in so many ways. Sometimes the love one can feel for another just overwhelms. Yep!
128. President Deiter Uchtdorf of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave the most amazing talk about Forget Me Nots. Google it. My gift to you!
129. The genealogical miracles for Dr. Georg Huang.
130. The genealogical miracles for James Mattson.
131. Hazie and Anyslee had great birthday this past week. Oh, I do love those little granddaughters.
132. Luciano Pavarotti's Caruso. Oh my, go and read the English Translation. Touches a deep, deep cord in one's heart. Beautiful is not a good enough word.
133. The person that suggested one can be genius of heart as well as of brain to me.
134. A husband that loves to cook! He is also a food stager. His presentations are gorgeous.
135. Lark Rise to Candleford~the British TV series that delights me.
136. Gentle hugs and robust ones when they are needed.
